Watch Them Go

they ran away from me
did not want be like she
tortured and burnt –
they turned
and ran away freely
they ran away from me
knew that i had begun
to be a real person –
with a life
not the, ‘kid’ i was when –
my age was so young
i was sorted into a category
old school friends
watch them run away from me
watch them go
