Carry You on My Back
should i bow
doff my cap
scrape my boots
carry you on my back?
should i be there
to lay my coat
over a dirty puddle
should i present a prize
wrapped up –
in the colour of your eyes?
i find myself triggered –
and,
there has to be some normal
as i am caught in a trap
of parental approval
