Talking To You Did Not Help – Written February 2009 (Aged 33)

Talking To You Did Not Help

talking to you did not help
a lack of responsibility
clings to your shelf
a denial of things –
acting as somebody else
how can you feel for them
yet be left so cold
watching you take events
and then watching you remould
my life is disjointed
somehow not joined
but you, you are in my life
to be part of yours
my feelings for you stampede
but i try to push close the doors
you remain somehow
not quite who you could be
the detail almost always missed
always the wrong answer
in a multiple choice quiz
talking to you did not help
