My Walls Have Seen Better Days
i am tried
i felt feelings so out of this world
but i remained in orbit
and feeling cold
when you were offered my –
my absolute devotion on a plate
you coyly ran back up the path –
and closed the gate
when i start to leave
you fiddle with the latch
and hinted that may be a reason to believe
so like a fool i run back
i am tired
and my walls have seen better days
they cry out for my friends
as i bang my head against them
you just need me to need you
yet who is meeting my needs?
i have a soulful appetite
and i too, i too need to feed
