You Brought This On Yourself
you brought this on yourself
i noticed the other day,
that as we talked
you are still draped –
in the flirty comments
that were once my aspirin
for a lifelong headache
that i believed only you could cure
few people have been offered more
but for you, when offered that room
you acted like it was prison door
you brought this on yourself
i will miss the closeness
and i remain sad for us
sad that you do not understand
or consider that i might feel
that i might be angry or hurt
and that i may need time to heal
somehow i am mean to be here
having no thought or emotions
you brought this on yourself
