The Sword – Written Tuesday 9th june 2009 (Aged 34)

The Sword

it would be hard to forgive you
but then,
you have never really forgiven yourself
laden down,
with all that guilt
the type parents use as a sword
and them ram in, up to the hilt
you stumbled,
emotionally blinded by the past
and as blind as you are,
they have stole your heart

it would be hard to forgive you
the good in you
does flow like a great river
but it is polluted by your past
a past which has failed to deliver
now the river flow
in search of solution
and who knows,
the extent of the pollution
and the damage caused
it would be hard to forgive you
but somebody needs to remove the sword
