People Have Set Up On My Beach
people have set up on my beach
and they have strolled along my promenade
someone has sold chips and candy floss
others have made claims to my heart
and some, some have become lost
others’ have remained,
and they have soaked up the sun
some have rushed into the water
just as some have barely begun
some people have stayed on and never left
some people have set up on my beach
