Squeeze – Written December 2003 (Aged 28)

Squeeze

how do i squeeze you down to words
and then into verse
maybe i should just squeeze
and let go of the hurt
how do i sum up my emotions
when the sum is too big
it is certainly not one i can tally
i can only lap up the sun
as these emotions start to hurry
how do i squeeze down to words
it just cannot be done
i am punch drunk on you
it is just like being young
when most things were new
i could not be without you
yet i did and i have, for all these years
these tears really flowed
and then captured my fear
how do i squeeze you down to verse
i guess we just have to pull each other near
