You Decide – Written January 2004 (Aged 28)

You Decide

that is who i am
the joker in the pack
i must be somebody
a burden on my back
dabbling in magic
a brush with autism
all these things and more
i am the outsider
to a management whore
that is what i am
whatever people make me out to be
we do not need chains or prisons
just unwelcome categories
they will keep us locked up
i seem to have a million faces
one for every story
born out of a million places
that is why i have been so confused
packing one million suitcases
i will tell you who i am
but it is not believed and quickly replaced
to something that fits with what you believe
when you see my face
your bias has already decided my place
