Those Who Went Before
why do any of us
let ourselves
feel humiliated
none of us are perfect
but every crash
and every slammed door
surely contains frustration
that cannot be constrained anymore
anger,
never far from the surface
it is always destined to rise
and when it is on display
it tears me up inside
as as we wander
through,
the future of our lives
we always pay the price
of those who went before
