Part of Me – Written Thursday 10th September 2009 (Aged 34)

Part of Me

part of me fell in love with you –
not the part you may think!
but a part nonetheless
a part –
that tripped out on your beauty
you innocence and care
the life you have led
the nature of your hair
and the dreams to which we are all wed
a part of me –
that when i held you
and cuddled up to you
felt, for a moment, complete
pushing grey clouds out of the sky
not tripping over my own feet
someone will grow with you
and together a life will be built
you will aim for the summit
and work towards jointly held dreams
i hope that person truly loves you
and gives you the right things
because –
part of me fell in love with you
