Surrounded by Clowns

you must be joking
your stories
make no sense to me
your communication is worthless
even though it is free
you must be joking
do you expect me to sit through this
is there a school day or two
that i tragically missed
did i black out
and join a circus
have i just come round
only to notice
i am surrounded by clowns
accountability and responsibility
are never homeward bound
you must be joking
your corporate speak
lacks a dictionary or two
and you use acronyms
when you mean initialisms that are true
you use language
which pertains to a professions
and that is just power unbridled
a lack of emotional discretion
as you juggle on a corporate unicycle
with your overinflated profession
and you must be joking
if you expect me sit through this
and the consent ridiculous sound
have i just come round
only to notice
i am surrounded by clowns
