Reality is Dead

reality no longer has an appeal
it is easier
to disappear into those virtual worlds
ones that,
react to our sugar coated
brain receptors
but reality is dead
it has fallen out
with compassion and humanity
and instead,
people live in a virtual world
asking for compassion and humanity
from a social media platform
that is completely devoid of it
reality is whatever people want
and it is constructed around the self
systems are non existent
and every splinter group
turns out to be just a splinter
reality is dead
it truly is,
and people have retreated
to computer based platforms
reality is dead
it is buried deep
and now, we are just an army –
of sleepwalking drones
