You Have Sunshine – Written Wednesday 30th September (Aged 45)

You Have Sunshine

you have sunshine
it makes up your eyes
and they drip, drip
with warm comforting love
and i know,
it is good for me
even my mental state –
sometimes tries to –
wrestle my sanity to the ground
or beat it into submission
and what more can i say
i have sunk my teeth
into some of my best days
and these days,
sunshine helps me breathe
because when it all falls down
it lets the anxiety out –
and allows it to leave
i am complicated –
by post birth design
with moon landings and dreams
which are hard to find
you have the sunshine
and it truly soaks my mind
