Definitions of Sanity
these days –
feel like –
they are caked in mud
these times –
are engulfed by hands
that never fit the gloves
what happened –
at the factory?
what happened –
at the docks?
what happened to the skyscrapers –
that swallowed all our stocks?
i look at the news
it rolls up –
and it curls up –
there, right before my eyes
every illicit ideology
offers me no actual surprise
we are entangled in shapes
that tell too many lies
these days –
feel like –
they are drowned in uncertainty
and stripped –
of comforting reality
these days dance awkwardly
with the very definitions of sanity
