Music Box
someone –
has smashed the music box
it lies on the floor,
in tatters
and it will not sing anymore
i wonder what happened –
to the people
who paid all the small devils
to carry away our hope
did they set fire to our kindness
and then inhale the smoke
someone –
has smashed the music box
it lies on the floor,
in tatters,
who took the hinges from the doors
and who really matters
let me drip feed sunshine
into some fresh ideas
let me find a new look artisan
to truly sculpt our tears
