We Used to Play On Hills
nothing changes
we used to play on hills
when all else failed
we could run for a mile
nothing changes
just tart up the smile
make it feel like a dream
all these people in my life
so many, not what they seem
i moved myself,
out of the clutches of madness
i stayed in hotels
with a sign in sadness
nothing changes
just move along the track
out there,
to over there and then back
looking,
with an eye on your past
smiles cannot wipe clean
and it goes so fast
nothing changes
