Bread and Butter
people telling me about things -
that professionally that i trained for -
studied for and have done for years
adopting language i have always used
and telling me that it is new
right of left, language is power
people talking to me like i do not understand
conceptualising ideas and social theory
well this is my bread and butter
suddenly everyone thinks they know more
swallowed a ton of books and telling me how it is
as if they are the first do you see my frustration
people and their presentation such complete distractions
