The Princess and the King – Written Wednesday 8th February 2008 (Aged 32)

The Princess and the King

my life has changed so much
the princess of my past
has returned with her torch
and a new king has arrived
he has staked a claim to my throne
but i have located my identity
and now it has grown

life has moved on
someone beautiful that i once knew
has returned to my garden
and somehow, they look so new
a new king wears my crown
can they live up to the flirting
or will it leave them to drown
life has become about the now
and it feels future bound
