Past Tense – Written January 2008 (Aged 32)

Past Tense

you have started to talk in past tense
we has become i
and every sentence –
comes with a silent goodbye
i hear it loud and clear
it shouts aloud –
i am one in a million
just feeling alone in a crowd
you have started to talk in past tense
what are we going to do
has become what we have done
it seems our future –
is over before it has begun
little messages and clues
i find them by my memories
that is where they are left
crossword, riddle or puzzle
it does not matter, i have already guessed
you have started to talk in past tense
