Acceptance – Written Tuesday 19th October 1999 (Aged 24)

Acceptance

acceptance,
gritting the teeth and moving on
deliverance,
like a baby into the new
waiting,
like we always seem to do
you, always you
just me, only me
hearts,
emotions that are carefully stored
memories,
memories that can be adored
futures,
a script not yet written
it may be that it has a plot
but it is barely more than a scribbled note
acceptance,
accepting that things have changed
