Sixteen
they were the best days of our life
and now it is three years later
it is all change
the fun and excitement is all gone
life has become the same
we are no longer so young
we had to grow up
why, i do not understand
and when i saw you, spent as well
you said, we cannot be peter pan
we laughed about the good times
the careless days
before life became shades of grey
an exit-less maze
i would love to live those days again
everything i do is repeated now
everything is the same
nineteen nearly twenty, and we are spent
i know it is just me and you
what happened to the excitement
when it all seemed to be a dream
i may be wearing rose coloured glasses
i miss the crowds and times of sixteen
now i feel older, i feel like a has been
