Sleep
closed in,
i slowly turned within a dream
another body inhabited
the soul, cruel and tortured on the road
to the darkest land I was omitted
the man said,
‘you will never wake up’,
i pushed back the barriers of my sleep
i was determined to be somebody
but when i woke up from the dream
i was in a different house
and i was in a different body
i saw myself under the weight of nightmares
so i look up,
and i look around,
and i am in an octagonal room
and i remember in that dream
i was walking down the road
and i remember that it was sunny and warm
i turned, and i saw a child’s fear
he took control and yearned for me to be near
slowly the dream got dark
darkness itself, till it was him and nobody else
