Just the Truth – Written Wednesday 26th October 1994 (Aged 19)

Just the Truth

it is hard, so damn hard
life is never easy
trying to get what you can
trying to understand
i have got to hurt you
and you do not know
how low that makes me feel
take a sledgehammer to your dreams
we are not what we seem
i am so sorry for hurting you
it just has not worked
i am just a helpless fool
an overworked flirt
what can i say
go out, through the door
there is not a thing, not anymore
i feel so bad
a person with no worth
life is not easy, so full of hurt
it is not excuse, just the truth
