Be Here

getting up
putting on some music
nothing seems to go away
still got everything on my mind
why did i wake today
lazing about, feeling alone
feeling down and out
waiting for you to phone
it is so strange,
the games that people play
everything comes out of nowhere
then it quickly goes away
saying you care,
then finding out –
you were only trying to convince yourself
really, there is nothing there
but now, i am getting down
i know exactly what i want
i want you around
to hold the guilt far away
it is what i want, what i really want
could you be here today?
