Calories
fooling around, playing in the dirt –
with my imaginary friend
watching my imaginary friend
going home
smiling and waving goodbye
then i am upset
because i am all alone
watching people –
craft statues out of wood
and calling things from the sky
then getting quite deep
thinking about what it’s like to die
going into that eternal sleep
i do not need
to worry about the calories though
because when you die
you do not have to eat
meeting my first friend
watching them cut off my lifeline
refusing my hand
always confused, don’t they understand
