Friends – Written Monday 31st October 1994 (Aged 19)

Friends

waiting so much,
talking so much
as much as i change
the importance of friends
shall remain,
that is the one thing –
that will never change
i can become who i want
but i need my friends
waiting so long
for things to come along
talking with new people
need my old friends
for time –
that never seems to end
need them for the dark day
when all the bad things
refuse to go away
need them –
to take away all the pain
no matter how much i change
my friends shall remain
i want to keep them
want them to stay the same
that is that way it has t be
sticking by them,
sticking by me
