Prison World
a prison world
where they take away the thoughts
of those who have fell
and they have so many lies
to feed and tell
a prison world
of broken things
old crowns and lost magic
and broken wedding rings
yes, life is tragic
leaving the children in the street
to die a neon light death
as the rats nibble at their feet
and notice no breath
people so afraid
the old lounge door
up against the hallway wall
it is summer but they have got to be careful
soon it could be a nuclear fall
and the winter that would follow
it would last forever
and as the wind howls down empty streets
all our ashes will be together
at last the human race on earth
will be together forever
a prison world
with an indefinite sentence
it is so cold
and nothing makes sense
that is a prison world
is that fantasy, or is that reality
