Charade – Written Sunday 6th November 1994 (Aged 19)

Charade

i haven’t got to carry on this charade
i haven’t got to live a certain fate
and when i am getting over the past
i feel relief
i feel relief at not seeing you
i feel so guilty
it is weird, but i really do
but i am free
i have got all the emotional back up
that i need
just because i feel sorry for you
does not mean i have to please
watching us, the past, slowly fade
i could never trust your naivety
and i could never carry on this charade
