Shattered – Written Between February and June 1995 (Aged 20)

Shattered

shattered
exhausted and drained
i have spent a day with the insane
if only they looked
but they cannot do that
if they locked away all the insane
there would be no one left
shattered
with so much red eye
i felt tired
could not get started
needed to be hot wired
joined the drunken race
but staggered away at the end
needed some of my own space
i was needled and rattled
it all felt too real
starting to crack, starting to run
dare not look back
shattered
