Lost in a World of Your Own – Written Wednesday 21st April 1999 (Aged 24)

Lost in a World of Your Own

lost in a world of your own
and looking for someone else
someone who will call it home
lost in a world of rain
rain that flows from the eyes
but it never flows into drains

lost in a world of your own
looking around all the time
looking, so two can call it home
not just a solitary one
only young, what a wat to be
the mind can be so sharp
but the loneliness always tears you apart

lost in a world of your own
a world barely explored
a world that leaves you empty
even if it does not leave you bored
so you look for somebody
perhaps somebody else who is alone
feeling like a nobody
lost in a world of your own
looking for someone
so that two can call it home

James Garratt – Wednesday 21st April
