Can’t You

can’t you take it all away
this adult guise
that i have swapped
for innocent yesterdays
it can’t be real
i am here, so near
do you know how i feel
i’ve got midweek blues
and everyone says,
ask her if she knows
and i say, yes she does
so why don’t you
just give me a chance
listen to each other
and learn to be together
