Capture the Barcode
i could not fashion weapons
or useful swords
as i made rope baskets
from electric cords
i could not dream up
fresh deserts
in the molten factory
of more disparate work
sing me a lullaby
sing me a lullaby
in a pungent and sweet sounding voice
capture the barcode
on my more fractured dreams
the ones where
there is a metallic sound
to those heavy pounding screams
i always plummet to fashionable lows
a catwalk of trauma and i am on show
sing me a lullaby
one that i do know
