The Solution – Written Monday 26th June 2000 (Aged 25)

The Solution

the solution is too painful
wipe the slate clean
wipe away the tears
the solution is a medicine
that is too painful to take
i know that we should not be here
but i think of you too much
and i think too much of you
and i know, my dreams are cool to your touch
yet, your touch makes my dreams true

the solution is hard to swallow
and common sense is our leader
but we do not want to follow
this is strange and you know it
and i know i am being a fool
and i know it shows everyday
the solution is too painful
and it is far too difficult to say
