Confident – Written October 2001 (Aged 26)

Confident

i feel confident
confident,
that i am outside
confident,
that i am feeling
and that –
i do mind being outside
i do not want to be in
i feel confident,
but i am lost at sea
luckily,
i am holding your hand
you are everything to me
you may not fully understand
but you liberate –
that which should be free
i feel confident
but strangely detached
sometimes people fall apart
but we do not clash
i know it is difficult
i know what we are
