Do You Take Sugar?
do you take sugar
do you wonder at the sky
do you just wonder why
do you do the dishes
or watch portside as the ship sinks
too often, we are left to think
do you wait at the station
or the garden gate
watching hope and the future mate
do you take sugar
is life too bitter, is it less clear
talk to me, pull up the chair so it is near
