Taking It All Away

you take it all away
it is so much better
better than the darker days
you take it all away
and i know,
you are not poured from a bottle
so i never regret you in the morning
you take it all away
it’s in the words you say
with your eyes so wide
still giving my life that element of surprise
you take it all away
i do not have to buy you
i do not have to regret you in the morning
because you are not poured from a bottle
and there is no ill feeling
you take it all away, from the morning hours,
till the closing of the day
no death of the play
you take it all away
