Clowns and Painted Carousels
i look at your face
and i feel a sadness for the hurt
which i bought to your life
i was please when we talked
and things felt right
i guess,
i always assume that my un-wellness
destroys everything beautiful –
that is ever found
i look at your face
and i think back to that time
and out of all the clowns
and painted carousels
i miss you the most
i hope you understand and you continue
to let life take you by the hand
and that your hope
continues to play along with the band
