Personal Justice
i do not look anymore
because my own fight,
for a personal apology
for the hand of compromise
the human touch,
there, reaching out
well i know it will never come
they will continue –
to live as they have always done
shielded from responsibility
simply fulfilling a role
the sorry never mattered
not as much as the understanding did
but the personality struggle
and the vein of self belief
left permanently ruptured
it is not about me,
my own vanity has to leave
but i am sad for them
sad that the many sides and shapes
of a human personality
will, now, be forever hidden
if only they could look at themselves
it is time to be forgiven
