Who Needs Convincing?
boasting to friends
of your, ‘wonderful life’
see how i phrase, ‘wonderful’
i could do the same,
with the word, ‘life’
those that like to tell
those that boast
they are the ones for whom –
life has sunk a boat
who are you convincing?
it leaves the audience wincing
because if you have heard it once
you have heard it a million times
a lifelong actor –
reading lifeless lines
a life or no real x factor
just one in a cast
with a horrible fracture
boasting to friends,
trying to prop up self esteem
send out the search party
to find those long lost dreams
