Devalued – Written Monday 8th September 2008 (Aged 33)

Devalued

why is it that you devalue people?
what inside,
drives you to behave like that
why must you,
put people down
and seek to place them on a rung
one or two less than your own
can i ask,
is there emptiness inside of you?
does this life just leave you alone?
you devalued me,
can i ask,
do you devalue others?
i wonder if you have ever sat down
and questioned your own behaviour
