Cannot Explain – Written Wednesday 24th January 1996 (Aged 20)

Cannot Explain

i cannot do it any justice
the way you are holed up in my roof
i travel far to catch the truth
but the ends of the world and the universe
are too large for me to find it
so what do you say
sometimes i have to take it as being true
i cannot do you any justice
an imaginative soul such as you
so i will have to learn to live
because i find it hard to give up
and hard to fight
so i will escape the boundaries of contradiction
and change the thin metallic metal of your mind light
to do a little science fiction
there is a planet i need to find
i cannot do it an justice, it is the place i live
