Sometimes in the Light
sometimes, in the light
i can see,
just about alright
sometimes, i need to steady myself
and ask myself,
where am i going
and wonder, is it alright
sometimes, i need to fall away
sometimes, in the light
i cannot see what you wear
it gives me a fright and i get scared
i need a friend to come away
sometimes, i can’t even face the day
sometimes, i have much to say
and i am in the spotlight
but it does not feel right
i get puzzled by my own indecision
and sometimes, i worry –
about my lack of direction
i get so sorry
if i do not make the connection
the one that makes it alright
we should spend some time in the light
we should feel alright
sometimes, in the light
