Sometime Today (Part 2)
sometime today
i watched the world float away
then i remembered some pain
and it came back again
sometime today
i remembered how i had tried
so very hard
how it had all become lies
and how it all fell apart
sometime today
i sat down and wondered why
and realised you have to go really low
to appreciate being really high
and that is all i seem to know
sometime today
i watched madmen clean the streets
with their doleful eyes
i wondered if all this was for keeps
sometime today
i had some hope and it was okay
as i awoke,
that was sometime today
as i watched the world float today
