Could You Imagine It?
could you make it on your own?
i know i just about could
but it would be nice to have someone there
it is always nice to have someone there
someone who really cares
i could put myself away
leave my soul in solitary confinement
i could not lock myself up like that
i have to be out and about
i need people around me
it is the only way i am free
to be who i want to be
couldn’t you imagine it
a world where loneliness eats away –
at your body whilst you are still alive
like the animals that gnaw at you –
when you have died
can you always make the best decisions –
when you are on your own
can you always get it right
without a little bit of friendly advice
some people will always do it their way
but i would end up feeling sick
could you make it on your own
could you imagine it?
