Dropped My Intelligence As a Child
i dropped my intelligence as a child
i could not find it, not for a while
i lost it, along with my smile
there it was on the floor, suddenly broke
then i lost my self respect
and important parts of my hope
i dropped my belief
i figured it had fallen between the gaps on some seats
it was something that left me incomplete
i dropped important friends as a child
i took them to task and held a spiteful trial
i dropped my intelligence as a child
and it was sometime before i learnt to smile
