Make Me Brave

your feelings –
will re-start the engines
or row me to the shore
so turn this wreck over
so it can start once more
your love –
will clean this mad mind
it will wax my hope
make direction easier to define
because i am in a lake
it looks quite calm
but with me and the fish
somehow i still come to harm
your intimacy –
will kickstart this train
it will give me stations
and uncouple so much pain
i know the station master
is already looking lame
i am a slave
