Piece of String – Written June 2011 (Aged 36)

Piece of String

you do not know –
how it feels to be pointed out
you long to be different
and claim that you are
but anyone who is different
wold only want –
want to define normality
cling to a radiator
and give the world a hug
you do not know
what it is like to be on your own –
harshest critic
i can string together –
a string of jokes
but i must know how long –
the piece of string is
and how exactly that string chokes
different sinks, you always float
if only just
