Better Man
a better man
i try as i can
as i am
a man with flaws
that feel hard to understand
as i am,
sculpted, but not from wood
or marble
but from my childhood
a better man
i am trying to be one
because life, as such,
is about trying to be someone
when yourself is rarely enough
i will fathom these seas
and catch the breeze
i will walk on hallowed turf
and turn stares into longing hands
i will keep on moving, just trying
to be a better man
