The Latest Fashion Accessory

she told her hairdresser
that she felt so depressed
and after he had left for work
she told her lover
that she felt so repressed
but as it ended
she changed her plea to depressed
she added a few tears
so it was well expressed

he told the manager
that he was depressed
but the truth about smoking weed
was always carefully supressed
for in truth,
it was only that which caused the mess

she told the woman
the one who does her nails
that she was off work
because everything else had failed
and now she was depressed

all these people still socialised
they went out and they went to parties
they got about and managed okay
but suddenly they did not need the rest
the idea of not working somehow cured them
when i think of them, i feel depressed
